The Bear and the Hare
Once an upon a time there lived a bear and a hare, they were best friends. They both lived in the woods. They walked and played just like best friends do. But one day the wind blew cold, the bear stopped and told the hare “The winter has come,” hare knew what winter meant his friend would be asleep till spring and curled up in his cave, he’d miss the joy of Christmas.
For Christmas was a special time to spend and there was no fun and no games “Oh bear, why must
you go”. The bear looked at hare and gave a gentle smile. The bear said, “I wish I could but when it snows and the wind blows, a bear should be in bed”. Just as he was talking a snowflake fell on his nose. He said to hare “It's time for me to go to bed”. He was sad. He didn't want to miss the Christmas, but what was Christmas like? He said, “Oh Christmas it is a fun celebration. The woods are white, the stars light up. At night Christmas is a time to share, it’s a time to come together. Every creature, Bird and Bear. Bear had stopped to sit and rest. He yawned.“I am sleepy I can't stay awake, I'm sorry hare but can you still see the tree” said the hare. “Ok,” said the bear. “Doesn't Christmas smell delicious because of the decorations made out of fruit”. Slowly the bear turned around and went to his cave but hare had an idea. When it was morning hare was waiting for the bear to come. Hare heard a sound “Is that my friend bear. “It’s bear, it’s bear”, hare shouted. I’m so glad that you are here now. We can spend time together”.
Wait what was the special thing that woke up bear?
A shiny new alarm clock.
